Arden Realty, a Southern California office REIT, selected a development team, including a member of our firm, to manage the development of this build-to-suit television production facility and corporate headquarters for the Univision Television Group. Located in Los Angeles, California, the five-story building is part of the Howard Hughes Center, a 2.7 million square foot office and retail complex set on a 70-acre campus.

The facility houses Univision’s new, state-of-the-art digital broadcasting studios and satellite uplink and receiving facilities, in addition to over 125,000 square feet of corporate office space. Over $11 million of technical upgrades were made to the base facility to accommodate Univision’s special program requirements. Gensler designed the building and Matt Construction provided general contracting services. The project was competed under budget and ahead of schedule.

The Univision Corporate Headquarters, which fronts the 405 freeway just North of LAX, is a part of the 1.4 million square foot master plan of speculative and build-to-suit office space implemented at the Howard Hughes Center by a previous employer of one of our principals.
